This article analyzes and discusses the intrusion of foreign objects that are prone to occur in various industries. The actual production environment may be much more complex than the experimental environment. The following is a classification and analysis of foreign object intrusion that may occur in industries such as molds, steel, automobiles, tires, and metal forming, such as skateboards/wear-resistant plates/wear-resistant plates/guide plates/sliders.
Figure 1. Bearing usage environment
Types of foreign objects invading:
1) Components (bolts, nuts, etc.)
2) Silicide
3) Oxide/Sulfide
4) Debris, abrasive grains
5) Other corrosive gases and liquids present in the work environment contain impurities and reaction products
6) Flying edges, burrs
Equipment after foreign object intrusion:
From the above photos, it can be seen that in actual complex production environments, the causes of foreign object intrusion include human maintenance, structural design, external environment and the products of external corrosive environment, material composition and metallographic structure, and other extremely complex factors. Due to the intrusion of foreign objects, the sliding coefficient of the sliding surface may sharply increase, resulting in noise, roughness, eccentric wear, decreased accuracy, and in severe cases, equipment failures such as biting and locking may occur, leading to the scrapping of molds worth hundreds of thousands of yuan and downtime losses of tens of thousands of yuan per minute.
In addition to the intrusion of foreign objects such as large-sized and large particle components, for the intrusion of fine particle foreign objects, improvement solutions are implemented from various aspects such as materials and surface treatment according to different production environments and working conditions in different industries.

Explanation of a widely applicable solution:
Figure 4. Actual test product for ultimate lifespan
From the actual machine test of the maximum lifespan shown in the above figure, it can be seen that within several times the original product's usage time, foreign objects such as burrs, debris, and dust will invade the surface, forming irregular and different damage marks from the sliding direction. Due to the wear and tear being within the specified range and the precision of the processed product being maintained well, the end customer believes that it can continue to be used.
DNB # 200 is a porous solid lubricant dispersed self-lubricating bearing produced by Deno Company. As the name suggests, the sliding surface of its product is composed of a porous metal structure. For fine and hard foreign particles, they can be embedded and buried inside the porous sliding layer during frictional motion. At the same time, a solid lubricating oil film layer with boundary lubrication or oil lubrication exists between the sliding layer and the dual layer, which has the effect of improving the sliding conditions for existing foreign object invasion parts, achieving the purpose of reliable, stable, long-lasting, and wear-resistant.
