Manufacturing method of graphite bearings

Analyzing the smoothness of graphite material from the structure of carbon atoms in graphite bearings. Graphite material itself has a smooth function, which is determined by the crystal structure of graphite. The smoothness function of graphite is not only due to the specific reasons of the lattice, but also to the excellent smoothness effect of water and air bimetallic lining on it. The presence of water and air causes the adsorption of water and gas molecules on the working surface of graphite, increasing the spacing between the cleavage planes where graphite slides, and then weakening their binding force.

Graphite bearings can be divided into rolling bearings and sliding bearings, while self-lubricating bearings can be made of metal, non-metal, or composite materials. Graphite bearings are commonly used in sliding bearings, which are further divided into radial bearings and thrust bearings. The article primarily analyzes carbon graphite bearings, bronze graphite oil impregnated bearings, and embedded graphite bearings.

The manufacturing method of graphite bearings is characterized by the following skill plan:

(1) Model manufacturing: polystyrene foam plastic board or expandable polystyrene resin graphite bearing beads with density of 10-22g/dm3 shall be selected as the molding data; Drill a hole on the disappearing mold surface that is 0.2mm smaller than the diameter of the graphite rod, and insert a graphite rod that is 1-2mm longer than the wall thickness of the disappearing mold surface;

(2) After installing the graphite rod, apply copper alloy special disappearing mold coating with a coating thickness controlled between 0.5-1.0mm, and dry it in the drying room below 50C ° C;

(3) Connect the dried model with EPS foam plastic runner;

(4) Place the assembled model in the lost foam sand box and evenly participate in dry sand micro vibration compaction; The amplitude is less than 2.0mm, the vibration frequency is 50HZ, cover the upper part of the sand box with plastic cloth for sealing, evacuate and apply negative pressure, and pour in high-temperature alloy liquid; Negative pressure is controlled at 0.02-0.05MPa;

(5) Release negative pressure after holding for 10 minutes;

(6) After cutting off the sprue, the required graphite bearings can be obtained by mechanical processing.

Graphite bearings are primarily based on graphite material and are used in various industrial sectors such as food, beverage, textile, and chemical industries, including transport planes, dryers, textile machines, submersible pump motors, and other bearings. The use of grease lubricants in these areas inevitably causes pollution. However, graphite bearings have strong self smoothness and corrosion resistance, and can work for long periods of time without the use of lubricating oil. The wear of graphite bearings is proportional to the square of load, temperature, and velocity. When the pressure is between 0-0.49MPa, graphite bearings made from various raw materials can meet the requirements.
